The simplest way to come to study in France is to do so as part of an exchange programme between your university and a French university or school. In this way, you will have fewer formalities to handle by yourself, and will be looked after by a special team in the host institution (generally the International Relations department).

Obtain details of exchanges offered by your university of origin

If you are already a student in your country, contact your university's International Relations department (or International Programmes department) to find out whether it has an international student-exchange agreement with a French university or school covering your field of study.

Then contact the international exchange manager for your field of study in order to agree on a study programme that can be validated when you return to your university of origin.

Examples of exchange programmes:

- Erasmus:
For students from one of the 27 European Union countries and Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Turkey (view the list of countries >>).

For students in Québec.

- MICEFA:

There are also many other international exchange programmes. Each university / school has its own specific partnerships and programmes.
